In order to foster healthy and a competitive spirit, the school follows a house system. The house system is a traditional feature of schools and this originated in England. The school is divided into subunits called 'houses' and each student is allocated to one house upon enrolment. Houses may compete with one another at sports and maybe in other ways, thus providing a focus for group loyalty. We here at PPS follow 4 houses named after the historical rulers :

Student Council:
The student council is a mantle of leadership to discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school. To inculcate the leadership qualities among the students and to give them a a sense of responsibility the new "Student Council " is formed every year.

Each house has a House Master/ Mistress, House Captain, Vice Captain and a Spotrts Captain elected by the students and staff members. It is compulsory for every student of the school to be a member of a house. The main aim is to inculcate the qualities of leadership, co-operation, mutual understanding and self reliance. Various activities and competitions are organized in different fields like Literary, Cultural, Fine Arts, Sports, Science, Community Services and Computers under the supervision of the House Master/ Mistress.
